It's the place I called home until I got married. I met Clint and fell in love while I lived in this house, graduated from high school, had my first job. I got a porcelain daybed for Christmas one year in that house. And bless Santa's heart, he even put it together in the living room so I could see it on Christmas morning, then it had to be taken apart to be taken upstairs and re-assembled in my bedroom. I missed curfew one night and was in such a hurry I forgot to put my car in park and ran right into the garage door! lol!! (Then I lied to my sweet father and acted like I had no clue what had happened the next day when he questioned me, oh how naive I really was) I made biscuits in the kitchen for the first time (I mention this because my Grandmother said they were the best she had ever had! Oh what a sweet Grandma!). I spilled hot chocolate in the living room the SAME week my parents re-carpeted the entire house a few weeks after they bought it... I don't think that lone stain ever came out. I decided to have a trading spaces weekend when I was in high school and re-do my little sister Megan's room. We chose ROYAL BLUE for the walls, let's just say I don't think we ever finished and when they decided to sell and put in new carpet they discovered that the paint I spilled in her room (yes, I must have been clumsy!) soaked all the way into the boards under the padding. =) I had a 2 best friends while in that house. I dated my first boyfriend in that house. I decorated my closet in that house (does this really surprise you?!). I got electrocuted in that house, and lived, it was a true miracle. These are just a few of the memories I had in that house. I think I
could write all night.
I cried in that house, I laughed in that house, I was angry in that house, I was happy in that house. I learned how close the Savior can be to us in that house. I learned that if you aren't careful you can get to close to the edge in that house. In that house I learned that no matter how complicated life can get, I will always have my family. There are so many memories there for me. I loved that house.
They are out of sequence, but I thought it was more important to add them rather then obsess over their order! As you can see, it was pretty bad damage can you see outside? If you look at the top of the stairs you can see to the outside. It's even starting to mold because of all the moisture. =( I hope they can save it. I feel bad for the new owners and I will be keeping them in my prayers as they have months and months of repairs or longer if they have to start from scratch.
