silver lining

Man, it's been for-ever since I've blogged! Life has been super hectic & busy lately, I'm almost "done" with everything we've been doing & I couldn't be more happy for the summer. I'm ready to kick back a little & settle into a little bit of a normal routine.

I decided since Clint is working late for a client that I would catch up a bit, or at least try haha! I don't really think I'll go in any sort of order, that's to much thinking for this time of night!

We moved! Yep, it's true! We couldn't be more happy with our house & the area we live in. We are just renting for the next year & we'll see where we're at with either staying here for another year or moving... again! We've got a great landlord that has been nothing but accommodating to this point, so we're relieved about that. We went to our ward for the first time on Sunday & couldn't believe how tiny it was. We are used to sooooo many more people in the congregation, so it will take some getting used to. I'm ready to be completly unpacked and organized. It seems like it takes forever, especially because every time we move we get rid of more & more stuff so I can't figure out where it keeps coming from. I mean, I really think we're to the point of getting a storage unit for our holiday bins & memorabilia. Clint has quite the Mr. Potato Head collection & he is taking over our home! I also have a little "Dishes" problem. I honestly think I could spend thousands of dollars a year on dishes & serve ware! We're getting there little by little. Clint's rule has always been no decor goes up until storage bins go out. Hopefully after my wedding this week I can be a little more motivated to speed up the process. Renters white is so not my idea of cute.

I've got a beautiful wedding this weekend. It's actually the wedding of my sister-in-laws little sister... no pressure or anything lol! She has been so great to work with & has a lovely style. I designed a bridal bouquet & grooms bout for today so they could take thier wedding photos a couple of days early. It got me really excited for this weekend to come. I really enjoy working with classy brides who make beautiful selections. It really makes my job easier. I'm sure I'll post photos of it somewhere at some point!

What else... oh! I'm working again, haha! Well, I'm always working, but I'm working for someone other than myself for part of the week. I am working with the team at Copper Canyon Dental. It is my brother-in-laws new practice & I really love being there. I'm surprised at how much I enjoy it & look forward to going to work in the morning. I am wearing a lot of different hats at work & I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so not a traditional employee type of person. The more that is thrown my way the more challenged I feel. As of late I've been learning for about the insurance side of things & how to present treatment plans to patients. I don't feel 100% adequite yet in this arena, but I'm sure that with the more I soak in each day the more comfortable I'll feel about it. I look forward to see what the future holds!

This is one of the main reasons I've been a blog-slacker! I started helping with the practice in January with all kinds of little things here & there. From helping select paint colors & decor to applying to become a provider with insurance companies. It was a whirlwind with the opening in March & the birth of thier 4th child about 1 month before they opened.

We also celebrated my mom's 50th birthday earlier this month. My sisters & I threw her a surprise party. It turned out well & everyone seemed to have a great time! To read more about that, you can visit Amber's blog!!

We've taken 2 trips up to Utah, the first being for Mike's graduation from BYU. It was so wonderful to get up there in the spring. We had such a nice time visiting with Clint's Miner grandparents, they are always so nice to have us stay with them & they take great care of us! We also had a blast hanging out with Clint's siblings that are up there. We played WII fit into all hours of the night, did a little window shopping, ate some dang good food & went bowling. It makes me really happy that we all get along so well & enjoy spending time together. We can't wait for Mike & Leanne to move down here in a couple more weeks, especially since they are having their first baby in December. I really love being an aunt & I'm always so excited to add to the brood! It's especially fun because it's their first!! We also look forward to the day with Trevor & Whitley are back in town too. We love hanging out with them.

We also took a 48 hour trip up to St. George last minute to celebrate Grandpa Merrill's 80th birthday. It was nice seeing them & I think he was really surprised to see us there. We convinced Mike & Leanne to come down with Trevor & Whit so we could hang out with them again. There was a lot of family in town & since it was so last min. we along with Mike & Leanne grabbed a hotel room to share for the night. It worked out well, was only $25 bucks each & we enjoyed our complimentary breakfast the next morning! Trevor & Whit couldn't get enough C & H time (jk) & also came down to visit this past weekend & we had a Dominon Marathon!! lol!! It was good times!

Hmmm... what else. I can't think of anything else right now! Hopefully I'll get back to a normal routine soon. I really miss my friends. i haven't seen them in months. It's all my own doing too. I am not good at balancing my family/work/friendships all at the same time. I get too caught up in the little things that I forget to nourish those around me or even myself. I'm feeling more & more normal each day & I am really looking forward to getting some pool time soon!
