Much to say about nothing
I am so excited for cooler weather. I have to admit by the middle of May, I'm typically ready & welcome the summer, but I am just so over it this year! I get increasingly jealous as I read my friends blogs throughout the US and see all the beautiful orange, red & yellow leaves, long sleeve shirts & festivals they're attending. I'm ready for that. Apparently we are supposed to start having cooler weather on Wednesday, I'm not holding my breath though! We've also been reading about scenic fall drives in AZ & I'm hoping we actually get to take a couple this year. It seems like most years we delay them for one reason or another & when we actually decide to do it, the leaves are gone. I'm crossing my fingers. In other news, not much is going on. Thus the lack of posts. It's not that I'm un-motivated to post I'm just in a blogging slump & can't find anything interesting to post about. I'm writing, I just don't publish all the posts since this is my journal. Some things are better left in private! lolWhat else... hmmm. I am loving teaching at church. Oddly enough this past week I taught about unemployment & not only helping yourself but helping those around you. I was a little on the panicked side this past week when my lesson time was cut in half, I am not the best at editing as I go. I have to prepare & rehearse (yes, I rehearse my lessons... out loud!) hey, it helps! So hopefully I addressed the main points & it came across articulately & clearly. We also had our home teachers over this past Sunday. It was really nice to meet them & have them in our home. In the 6 years we've been married this is probably the 5th visit we've ever had! For those of you who aren't familiar this is a program in which the men in the church visit every family each month to share a short message & essentially check-up on their families. So, it is supposed to be a monthly thing, so in 73 months, we've only been visited 5 times haha! Let's hope it's a little more frequent from now on! It's nice to build those relationships & know you can count on them for anything. Our nephew baby Tyler had his 6th birthday party on Saturday. I can't believe he is 6, I guess he's not a baby anymore, but he'll always be to me!! He made me an aunt for the first time! It kinda makes me sad, but he is so much fun (most of the time) to hang out with & have cute little conversations with. One more random thought, I think I've also decided I'm not going to continue my "make it through Mondays" post any more. I'll save any words of wisdom I've got for "thankful Thursdays". Happy Tuesday!
Heather be thankful it isn't snowing! It's sooo cold here and snow all over the place! Save me!
