If I could have picked anything to do for my birthday, sky is the limit on price... I think I would have bought all new furniture/decor for my living room. I've got nice stuff now, but I'm over it.
I was talking to someone recently & I was sharing that when I was first married I just wanted to fit in. I wanted to have the same Tuscan/red/olive/tan house that everyone else I knew had. Now, 6.5 years later... I'm SO over it!
I want a house that reflects Clint & myself. Something eclectic. Something modern yet comfortable. Colorful yet timeless. Old yet New. Something random.
I would say the room above describes it almost perfectly! I would change a couple of accessories (like that weird blue & white pot the small plant is in on the cart...not a fan!) but over all it speaks to me! The couch is to die for! I L-O-V-E it! Pillows & all! LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!
And this dresser. Be still my soul, this dresser is A-MAZ-ING! I would put it in my living room, on an odd wall.
What to say about this chair, other than the instant I saw it I KNEW it had to have been made just for me, cow hide pillow & metallic side table too!
I would quickly add this to the mix, isn't it unique? It makes me smile every time I see it.
I could do this all day & night! But, it just makes it all to real that I've got a great talent for pulling things together & have such a passion for all things beautiful but my idea of going back to school is out of the cards when an interior design degree runs just shy of 100k! Yikes! At least I looked into it right?! Lol!

LOVE it. i think i really like how they smushed the pillows down. i've never seen that before. i'm always trying to make mine straight. i guess if they are all doing that it's cool. What are your thoughts on throw pillows in the living room? if i have a couch, loveseat and chair, i can't have pillows on all of them right? i've had pillows on the loveseat to the right side and a larger pillow in the middle of my couch. now i made that orange felt pillow and stuck it on the chair. i should loose the couch pillow or move the ruffle pillow to the couch? help?

ReplyDeleteI say the more pillows the better Lisa! Don't be afraid to mix & match sizes, patterns & shapes. Keep the orange pillow on the chair, I love "lumbar" type pillows on chairs & then a mix of whatever for the other pieces. Hope that helps!
