Today sucked. There I said it. It did. It was one of those days where I should have just gone back to bed the second I got up. Got in the car to go to work & it was apparent I'd be on E before making it to work. I forgot to bring something for lunch & remembered half way to work my boss was going to be home with me ALL day so I couldn't leave to grab something. It was a long day at work. Don't get me wrong, she's an awesome lady. I enjoy hanging out with her...but that's totally different than her being there with me all day! I just worry that I don't care for her child the way she does. I'm a great nanny, for reals...like awesome lol! But, I just don't do well with people standing over my shoulder, it's so stressful to me & I don't work as well. I was also super tired & have had a lingering headache for the past 5 days so I just wanted to sleep & be still.
My brain wasn't working...case in point- I needed a sonic happy hour beverage if I was going to make it the rest of the day & through our mutual end of the year pool party. I go to Sonic. I get there at 3:50pm. I wait until 3:58 to go through the drive through hoping they'd give me the happy hour price early because I hate paying full price for drinks. I ordered & was sitting at the window waiting (that happens A-LOT at this particular sonic) & the guy inside yells to his co-worker, " It's 4:00, happy hour is over". What. Wait. Seriously. I seriously almost missed it because for some dumb reason I thought it started at 4 not ended at 4...you'd think I haven't gone there once a week for the past bazillion years for a Dr Pepper with Cherry! What was I thinking?!
I'm SO thankful I don't have days like this very often, I'd be a complete mess if I did!
