The middle through the end of December just seemed to fly bye for us this year. I don't remember other years being quite so quick.
I missed a lot of posts during that time frame, so I thought I would just do one re-cap post & call it good! I'll be better about keeping things up to date in 2009!
We went with Amber & the kids to visit Santa one afternoon. Oddly enough Brooklyn loved him! She told him old she was (pictured) & that she wanted surprise presents from him & a bunch of other stuff because she was hanging out solo for quite a while! Tyler wasn't ready to see Santa when we got to the front of the line so he opted out of not talking to him. It made me kinda sad, but he made up for it with a very cool "letter" to Santa- to be hand delivered by his favorite postman! Carson was not having any part of it & cried! We also celebrated my Dad's birthday in December. We went out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner & then went & saw Christmas lights after. We all had a great time, even if the food was sub-par (pretty standard in our experience), it was terribly loud (we even went on a week night to avoid this) & the service was lousy! My Dad did humor us & hop on the saddle for a little birthday YEEEE-HAAAAWW ( I think he was just trying to be a cool Paw Paw for his grandkids though!) We thoroughly enjoyed the lights after though!
This year was a special Christmas for Clint & I. It was the first time since we've been married that most of our family lives in town. We were able to spend Christmas with both families, which was nice. My favorite memory of Christmas morning was Carson insisting on having a lollipop from his stocking & my Dad indulging him! It was Pure delight!!
I also found it cute that of all the gifts to open under the tree Tyler had to open ours first (it pays to wrap things way cool!), he really likes his new puzzle & go fish game we got him. Carson got a new wagon from Santa & Brooklyn was so thrilled with her pink baby crib. It's the only thing she asked for, so her new baby sister could sleep in her room with her! I don't know if she realizes yet it's just for dolls! My Mom surprised my Dad with a new I -pod touch, I don't think he was really expecting it,even though he is always talking about getting one, but will really enjoy it. I totally forgot to take photos at the Miners (I'll have to get some from Michelle, I think she is the only one of us that took any!) but we had a great time there Christmas day.

We rounded out the Christmas season with a trip to Joes BBQ, a family favorite. It's Megan's number one pick for places to go when she is in town! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas season. I know Clint & I look forward to
all the new & exciting things 2009 has to offer to our little family!
