good times

Yesterday was a busy day. I am the Visiting Teaching Coordinator for our ward. Basically, I am in charge of making sure 100+ women at church are checking up on each other to make sure their spiritual, temporal, and emotional needs are being met. It's such an awesome program our church has in place. At first I wasn't that into it, especially because us women are all sooooo different. But, I am amazed at how much our differences allow room for change and acceptance. Because it's the month end for March, I have to contact the women & make sure the needs are being met. Then I am responsible for passing on any major issues to our Bishop. I also have to create a report that is sent to church head quarters in Salt Lake as well as make sure & change assignments if someone has moved to make sure everyone gets looked after. It takes so much work & time, but it is such a blessing. I love having a cause to devote my time to. I feel like God has truly looked out for me & I can think of no better way to show my appreciation than to "pay it forward" in a sense.

Clint & I also took our Element in to have the oil changed and to get a bath. She looks and smells great! After a busy afternoon of deliveries (yay!) we met up with my family for the Easter Pageant for the church. We ran over & got a bite to eat at the "famous" Pete's Fish & Chips. I have to say I was under-whelmed. The food was okay. I think they are popular because it's more of a landmark & tradition. Oh well, I can't have Outback & BJ's every night now can I! :) After a bite to eat we went over for the pageant. I think it was really great tonight. It's a short play I guess you would call it depicting the life of Jesus, taken straight from the Bible. I am amazed at the life he led even through adversity, pain & constant doubt. I don't know if I would ever be strong enough to do all that he did. It was a good time & I am glad I went! I also admire all those people who preform. As much as I would love to be up there on that stage I don't think I would ever have the guts to do so!

Anyway. It was a good productive day.
